Meet the Executive Board

The Executive Board of NorCal UVSA acts as the organizations primary operational committee. The board is comprised of the President, Internal and External Vice Presidents, Treasurer, Secretary, and Council of Regional Representatives (CoRR). Tammy Tran - President


Tammy Tran is currently serving as NorCal UVSA’s President for the 2025-2026 term. She has been involved in the VSA space since fall 2018 where she began her journey at her alma mater, University of the Pacific. Since then, she has extended her leadership into the regional space through various conference directorship positions and executive board positions. She is passionate about empowering young individuals to become leaders in their own life and foster a community for individuals who share similar stories. 


She currently possesses a B.S in Biological Sciences from the University of the Pacific and a M.S in Biomedical Sciences from San Francisco State University. She now works in the Biotech industry and is working towards expanding her knowledge in clinical and lab sciences.

Matthew Ngo - Internal Vice President


Matthew is the current Internal Vice President of NorCal UVSA and was previously the 2024–2025 President of De Anza VSA. He is a fourth-year Business Administration student, and has been actively involved in the VSA space throughout his college journey and is now looking to expand his impact by engaging more with regional and intercollegiate events


In his free time, he enjoys go-karting, playing racing simulators, and eating seafood boils.

Justin Vo - External Vice President


Justin Vo is the External Vice President of NorCal UVSA and a recent graduate from San Jose State University with a degree in Biological Sciences and a minor in Asian American Studies and Chemistry. Previously, Justin served as the External VP (‘22-’24) for SJSU. He is currently heavily involved in the NorCal and UNAVSA spaces.

In his professional life, Justin serves as the cross-cultural programs coordinator for the Vietnamese American Roundtable, giving back to the community that raised him into the person he is today.

Irene Le - Treasurer


Irene is serving as NorCal UVSA’s Treasurer for the 2025–2026 term. She graduated from UC Merced with a B.S. in Management and Business Economics and has been involved with VSA since high school, where she first started as a translator. Over the years, Irene has been part of NorCal UVSA’s Finance, Sponsorship, and Philanthropy Cabinet and staffed several flagship events including Summit XVI, Camp Horizon XVI, and Lunar New Year: San José 2025.


Being part of NorCal UVSA has helped Irene grow both personally and professionally while making meaningful connections across and out of the region. She hopes to give back to the community that has supported her journey and encourage others to get involved. In her free time, she loves spending time with her cats and going on food adventures with friends.

Cam-Truc Hua Di - Secretary


Cam-Truc Hua Di is the Secretary for NorCal UVSA and a third-year pursuing a major in Microbial Biology at the University of California, Berkeley. She is currently serving as Co-President of her local VSA and has previously served as External Vice President, Secretary,Intercollegiate Council Representative, and Historian. Her involvement with NorCal UVSA includes various Media roles and serving on the Marketing & Public Relations Cabinet (Spring 2024). Through both NorCal UVSA and CalVSA, she has formed lifelong connections and is passionate about fostering a community where others can grow and thrive.


Outside of VSA, she is involved in endocrine research, volunteering, and photojournalism through UC Berkeley. In her free time, she enjoys photography, playing volleyball with friends, and traveling to new places

Anh Huynh - Co-CoRR


Anh is one of the Co-Council of Regional Representatives and a recent graduate from Stanford University with a degree in Bioengineering. She is going back this fall for her M.S. in Biology. She has previously been involved at her local VSA as the Co-President and served on the Event Cabinet for the 2024-2025 term. Through her time in VSA, she has found a lifelong community that she thrives to work and give back to. 


In her free time, she loves to go exploring around the Bay Area with her friends, playing sports, or building legos.

Viviann Luong - Co-CoRR


Viviann is one of the Co-Council of Regional Representatives and a recent alumni from San Francisco State University. She has previously been a part of the 2024-2025 Events Cabinet and served as an Intercollegiate Council Representative from 2023-2024. Through her time in VSA, Viviann has made lots of new friends and learned so much and she hopes to give the same experience to others. 


In her freetime, she loves doing arts and crafts and discovering new places with her friends.
